Come join us April 14th – 21st for a one of a kind safari in Bimini, Bahamas. Experience one of Bimini Scuba Center’s signature Ocean Safaris, where you can swim with Wild Dolphins, feed Stingrays, dive with Reef Sharks or photograph Great Hammerheads only inches away from your dome port. 

Plunge into the blue waters of Bimini — where you’ll encounter some of the ocean’s most iconic apex predators, and get up close and personal with an abundance of marine life — from the tiniest of reef fish to Atlantic Spotted Dolphins to Southern Stingrays. Enjoy all this and more when you dive with Neal Watson’s Bimini Scuba Center at the world-famous Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina. Boasting beautifully decorated rooms, cottages and suites, the resort features a fresh water swimming pool, a full service marina, two unique dining experiences, an Outfitter and Liquor Store and of course — is home to Neal Watson’s Bimini Scuba Center. 

After anchoring up at Hammer Headquarters, we will begin to set-up for the dive, this includes baiting the water. Once set-up is complete, it’s time to start looking for sharks! The dive is in approximately 20 feet of water so our tanks will last a long time! Once you’re out of air and because the bottom time is so long, we suggest going up, getting some food and resting before going down again. However, you’re always welcome to dive, dive, dive! Keep in mind, average water temperature during Hammerhead season is around mid to low 70s, thus we always recommend a full 5mm wetsuit, hood and gloves.

Bimini is a fantastic place to encounter a variety of different ray species in the water, though few are as friendly and playful as the local stingrays down at Honeymoon Harbour. This idyllic beach down on Gun Cay is home to a population of Southern Stingrays (Hypanus americanus) that anxiously await the arrival of visiting guests. Simply by floating off the back of our boat, guests can interact with these frolicsome fish in a safe and exotic setting.

​Swimming with dolphins in the wild is incredibly magical. Our ability to instantly connect with these curious and playful marine mammals, on their terms, is so powerful and transformative. The more energetic we become, the more animated the dolphins are in their responses. If we twist and twirl and dive, the dolphins will follow suite, mimicking our every move like a pantomime. Its like dancing with someone you’ve met long ago; it feels so familiar and pure, like being a child again. You cannot miss this experience!

Ferry from Fort Lauderdale

With year-round service and daily departures from Fort Lauderdale, Baleria lets you enjoy a quick, easy and fun-in-the-sun ferry ride to Bimini. There are no bridges, and no formations of jumbo jets carrying nonstop streams of tourists to Bimini. If there were, the islands couldn’t offer the same vacation opportunities to those fortunate few seeking a special, natural experience.
